Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Security Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support enterprise security solutions. The role focuses on protecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets while improving security processes and leading implementation efforts.

Responsibilities include monitoring, risk assessments, incident response leadership, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position is onsite in Rocklin, CA with a contract arrangement and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, protocols, and best practices.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and cybersecurity measures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and support enterprise-level information security solutions.
• Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information assets.
• Analyze existing security processes to identify improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of solutions.
• Manage IT infrastructure, implement cybersecurity measures, and support global logistics and supply chain technology.
• Ensure the security of the company’s e-commerce platforms and digital assets.
• Conduct continuous monitoring, risk assessment, and implement innovative security solutions.
• Ensure compliance with various industry and government requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to address security concerns and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Prepare and present reports on security operations and incidents to management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and other security agencies.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies, providing leadership and coordination as needed.
