Job summary

Artifintech in Rockford, IL is seeking an experienced Security Architect to design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide security architectures. You will establish security strategies, define standards, and lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews across cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), on-prem, and microservices.

You will collaborate with DevOps to embed security in CI/CD and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise security architecture.
• Proven experience designing security solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and infrastructure protection.
• Experience leading security architecture assessments and technical design reviews.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or SABSA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise security architecture aligned with business requirements.
• Develop security frameworks, policies, standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Define security strategies for cloud, network, application, and infrastructure environments.
• Conduct security architecture reviews and risk assessments.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and mitigate accordingly.
• Design and implement Zero Trust security architecture.
• Establish identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including SSO and MFA.
• Develop cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Define security controls for enterprise applications and microservices.
• Implement data protection, encryption, and key management strategies.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other regulatory standards.
• Provide technical guidance to cybersecurity engineers and infrastructure teams.
• Lead security design reviews, threat modeling, and security assessments.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity security strategies.
