Everstory Partners seeks a Safety Manager to lead enterprise-wide safety strategy, ensuring OSHA compliance and promoting a proactive safety culture across cemetery and funeral home operations. The role partners with leadership to improve safety performance while reducing incidents.

Responsibilities include developing training, maintaining the Health & Safety Manual, and communicating progress to stakeholders. Up to 30% travel required across U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety program development, training, investigations, and performance measurement.
• Experience in mid-to-large-size organizations with geographically dispersed workforce.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), and Certified Safety Manager (CSM), OSHA 30-hour card, or similar certifications.
• Proven track record of safety program development and safety performance measurement.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to influence teams without direct supervisory authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• This role requires up to 30% travel to locations throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company-wide compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations.
• Lead emergency response preparedness, including severe weather readiness and national safety communications.
• Lead investigation of accidents, injuries, and near-misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Create and conduct safety training sessions, orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, audits, and training.
• Own the Health & Safety Manual, including updates to policies, SOPs, and regulatory guidance.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to achieve safety goals.
• Track and communicate safety programs, training and projects regularly.
• Provide guidance and support to locations on safety issues and training.
• Partner with leadership during planning, implementation, and ongoing phases of programs/projects.
• Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
