Job summary

Wise is seeking a Risk Lead to manage the North American Enterprise and Operational Risk Management team and drive the design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of risk frameworks across the US and Canada.

You will map controls, set appetite statements, develop KRIs, and lead issue remediation while enabling product managers to launch new products safely and at pace with strong risk controls in place.

Qualifications

• Experience leading risk management teams.
• Background in financial services/fintech.
• Knowledge of OCC regulatory regime relating to enterprise and operational risk management.
• Understanding of Federal Reserve payment rails and scheme rules.
• Experience in risk and control self assessments and risk reporting.
• Ability to design and implement control monitoring, risk appetite statements, and KRIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four risk management professionals.
• Embed risk management across Product, Engineering, Operations, Banking and Compliance.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of risk frameworks in US and Canada.
• Design scalable controls, control monitoring, testing programs and dashboards.
