Job summary

SFM writes Workers' Compensation Insurance Policies across 34 states, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The Risk & Compliance Technical Specialist supports enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, and vendor risk programs, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer while delivering Board-ready materials and building governance records.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience supporting risk management or regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in business or analytical field.
• Workers' compensation or general insurance experience preferred.
• Experience administering a GRC, enterprise risk or vendor risk platform preferred.
• Strong analytical skills: metrics, dashboards and trend analyses from complex data.
• Advanced technology skills, including Microsoft 365, governance and risk platforms, and data visualization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong decision making abilities.
• Communication skills with a customer-service mindset, with the ability to prepare polished Board-level materials.
• Aptitude to run multiple projects to completion and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the workflows, calendars, systems of record and reporting processes for each program; provide a consistent experience for compliance, risk plans and vendor relationships.
• Administer the technology platforms behind each program; research and implement improvements with stakeholders.
• Support executive Board reporting on regulatory compliance, enterprise risk and vendor risk; build underlying materials.
