Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Support roll-outs of risk norms and practices by coordinating change impacts and adoption.
  • Build and maintain risk reporting artifacts and dashboards (e.g., Power BI).
  • Document CRO-led meetings: agendas, briefing materials, notes, decisions, actions, and escalation as needed.
  • Document processes and controls (maps, RACI, SOPs) to improve standardization and audit readiness.
  • Provide flexible support across IRM initiatives, from admin tasks to analysis or process design.

Responsibilities
  • Translate CRO priorities into executable plans with support from the Head of Risk Analytics & Strategy: build workplans, define milestones, maintain issue/decision/action logs, and track completion.
  • Coordinate across business units and IRM counterparts (e.g., ERGO IRM, MRAS IRM, Group IRM) to align on risk governance standards and reporting cadences.
  • Support ERM lifecycle (risk identification, measurement, strategy, control, and reporting) by gathering inputs, validating sources, synthesizing content, and preparing leadership‑ready materials for governance forums (e.g., Risk Committee updates, Internal Risk Report, ORSA).
  • Assist with integration/onboarding of new or reorganized business units into the risk management framework; confirm adherence to applicable risk policies and norms.
  • Support roll‑outs of risk norms and practices (e.g., non‑financial risk practices, project‑risk governance) by coordinating roll-outs, change impacts, and monitoring adoption.
  • Build and maintain risk reporting artifacts and dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
  • Support the organization and documentation of CRO-led meetings and initiatives, including preparing agendas, assembling briefing materials, taking meeting notes, tracking decisions and action items, and following up to ensure timely completion and escalation of issues as needed.
  • Document processes and controls (process maps, RACI, SOPs) and propose improvements that enhance standardization, audit readiness, and team effectiveness.
  • Provide flexible support across a variety of IRM initiatives, ranging from administrative tasks (e.g., data entry, file management) to more complex assignments involving analysis, research, or process design, based on team needs and development opportunities.
Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in risk, compliance, project management, or data analysis preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to handle administrative tasks accurately and maintain clear documentation.
  • Effective communicator who collaborates across diverse teams and can navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and initiative, moving between routine assignments and more complex problem‑solving as needed.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to enterprise risk management in a global insurance context.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Strong time‑management and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Travel ad hoc across Munich Re Group locations (approximately 10%).

The Company is open to considering candidates in New York, NY. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s New York location.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $79,900- $117,200 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in New York, NY. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
