AIG is seeking an Enterprise Resiliency Senior Program Officer to safeguard assets and operations from potential threats. This role involves enhancing risk management processes, developing training materials, and maintaining relationships with third parties to ensure business continuity. With a focus on collaboration and mentorship, candidates should possess extensive experience in financial services or technology.
The purpose of the Enterprise Resiliency Senior Program Officer role is to drive and maintain an effective program that safeguards AIG’s assets and operations from real or potential threats and vulnerabilities of any type. This individual contributor role will develop a deep understanding of business functions and technology employed across the globe, working with Enterprise Resiliency Officers as well as Corporate functional resources (Technology, Operations, Finance, HR, etc.) to drive the continual evolution of the Resiliency Program.
Job Responsibilities
Contribute to the management and enhance third-party due diligence activities specific to the assessment of vendor’s resiliency-related controls.
Partner on the ownership of Resiliency work required to manage the relationship with our highest priority third parties as Enterprise Resiliency’s point of contact
Maintain close partnership with AIG stakeholders who work regularly with these highest priority third parties – including Procurement, Legal, Risk, Technology, Operations, and other support teams – to ensure Resiliency gaps continue to be identified and remediated including SLAs
Draft and maintain Incident Management Plans specific to AIG partnership with the highest priority third parties (incident monitoring / detection / triage, business RTOs, communication workflow, testing requirements etc.)
Develop and deliver tool-related & program training materials needed for program stakeholders to execute their required tasks
Manage the annual refresh of our firm-wide Resiliency Awareness program that guides all AIG employees and agents on how to prepare for a business interruption
Support all ongoing Resiliency audits and regulatory exams to collect, review, and submit evidence, including any issue remediation
Support the governance our Resiliency Open Issue Management Process, which defines how we identify, document, escalate, and track all gaps until remediation is complete
Familiarity with the evolving regulatory framework and rule changes particularly with Third Party Resiliency – this includes the Digital Operational Resilience Act (“DORA”) and the Operational Resilience framework endorsed by the FRB and Bank of England
Update and maintain global Resiliency policy, standards (and guiding documents used to administer the day-to-day program compliance
Contribute towards the ongoing development and implementation of a firm-wide Resiliency
Act as subject matter expert on all areas of responsibility, notably regulatory expectations regarding Enterprise Resiliency matters
Familiarity with the evolving regulatory framework and rule changes particularly with Third Party Resiliency – this includes the Digital Operational Resilience Act (“DORA”) and the Operational Resilience framework endorsed by the FRB and Bank of England
Mentor less experienced Resiliency Officers as part of team and role development
Required Skills and Experiences
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with industry recognized Professional Certification (preferred)
Specific Qualifications
10+ years professional experience in financial services, insurance, technology, disaster recovery or business continuity
Strong understanding of third party resiliency
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and proven interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple competing projects and deadlines
Nice to have :
Experience with industry BC / DR / IM tools such as ServiceNow BCM, Everbridge (or similar) highly preferred
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence
Ability to define solutions and make decisions in ambiguous situations
DRII or similar industry certification
