Laboratory Sciences of Arizona seeks a quality improvement and risk management professional in Phoenix to oversee system-wide QA activities, guide problem solving, and standardize quality assurance across hospital and commercial sites.
You will collaborate with laboratory management to meet accreditation goals, lead audits, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a drug-free, safety-focused environment in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Provides effective system-wide support of quality assurance activities through guidance, consultation, and resolution of quality problems arising in system facilities. Provides quality improvement and problem solving techniques to all hospital and commercial sites and ensures standardization in quality assurance activities across the system. Interfaces with parent companies. Works closely with laboratory management and personnel to achieve system and laboratory specific quality and accreditation compliance goals, as required or as directed by Quality leadership.
Responsible for all Quality services. Involvement in intra‑ and inter‑departmental communications and activities. Internal customers – all employees within company. External customers – patients/clients, healthcare providers, physicians, support personnel. Has the ability to determine how best to accomplish functions within established quality guidelines function. Provides guidance in situations where procedures do not exist or are unclear, in concert with supervisor as available.
Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment. Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects. Must wear protective clothing as required and must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids. Ability to communicate effectively. May require off‑site travel.
Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate interdisciplinary teams. Analytical and conceptual systems thinking ability to balance and manage multiple projects simultaneously and good working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
