Job summary

AppFolio is seeking a Compliance Director to mature our Privacy Compliance Program and data governance across the enterprise. You will lead policy development, rights requests, risk assessments, and records retention while partnering with Legal, InfoSec, and business teams to drive practical, scalable compliance across product and operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; certifications like CIPP/US or CCEP are a plus.
10+ years of progressive compliance, risk, or operational leadership in tech or regulated environments.
Experience building privacy frameworks (CCPA/CPRA) and records retention programs in SaaS environments.

Responsibilities

Lead AppFolio’s Privacy Program including policy, rights requests, risk assessments, and records retention.
Privacy SME for third‑party risk management (TPRM).
Assess maturity and chart a roadmap for program evolution.
Map privacy obligations into product workflows with engineering and operations.
Provide compliance reporting to ERM and Internal Audit.
