Job description

Our client is currently seeking an Enterprise Operations Center Specialist for a contract opportunity onsite in Washington, DC.

Overview

This position supports a 24/7 Enterprise Operations Center at the Department of Transportation Headquarters. The role involves system monitoring, incident response, coordination with Tier III teams and vendors, and documentation of operational events and incidents. Must have an Active Public Trust for this role, DOJ preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor infrastructure and systems in real time using automated tools
  • Analyze events, contact points of contact for confirmation, and initiate troubleshooting
  • Log into routers/switches, review logs, and check interface status
  • Escalate incidents to Tier III teams and external vendors; open and manage ITTSM tickets
  • Draft and distribute incident-related communications, including notifications and daily status reports
  • Initiate and anchor Critical Incident Management processes, including Incident Response Bridge coordination
  • Document Root Cause Analyses and update knowledge management systems
  • Provide hands-on support in the Data Center and escort personnel as needed during off-hours
  • Maintain POC and site documentation, and update standard operating procedures
  • Generate and distribute daily and weekly operational reports

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting an enterprise operations center
  • Must have an Active Public Trust, DOJ preferred
  • Experience monitoring and managing enterprise systems and networks using advanced tools
  • Familiarity with incident management processes and communication protocols
  • Ability to troubleshoot network devices and escalate appropriately
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow and BMC Remedy is preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder residing in the U.S. for at least 3 years
