Job summary

Univera Healthcare is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer with deep enterprise networking experience to design, implement, and troubleshoot large-scale Cisco and/or Arista environments. You will focus on routing, switching, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, and data center networking while integrating hybrid cloud solutions to reduce costs and improve security.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders, with opportunities to lead automation initiatives and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 7 years cumulative work experience in lieu of degree; Associates + 4 years required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and audit policies/procedures.
• Experience with design, implementation, and delivery in assigned technologies.
• Infrastructure operations and infrastructure project delivery experience essential.
• Scripting and automation experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud and/or on-prem integration.

Responsibilities

• Acts as high-level escalation for operational support in assigned technical areas.
• Leads proof-of-concept testing in a lab environment.
• Creates infrastructure design documents for production deployments.
• Maintains supporting documentation for technology standards.
• Deploys new technology to production environment.
• Designs infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
• Researches and implements hybrid cloud technology.
• Provides guidance on enterprise server environments and cost optimization.
