Job summary

Signature Aviation seeks a hands‑on Manager of Mobile Applications Engineering to lead enterprise mobile initiatives across iOS, Android, tablets, and rugged devices. You will build high‑performing React Native apps, optimize performance for field operations, and partner with external vendors for secure deployments on Honeywell and other devices.

You will drive Agile delivery, mentor teams, enforce secure coding practices, and align mobile architecture with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

8+ years of mobile engineering experience, including hands‑on React Native development.
3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams delivering enterprise mobile solutions.
Proven experience deploying applications across Honeywell rugged devices, tablets, and mixed mobile environments.
Strong background in MDM/EMM solutions, fleet deployment strategies, and device lifecycle management.
Experience partnering with third‑party vendors for mobile app integration, deployment, and ongoing support.
Deep understanding of barcode scanning APIs, hardware integrations, offline‑first architectures, and network reliability.
Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and CMS platforms (e.g., Strapi, AEM).
Comfort operating in Agile/Scrum using Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Figma.
Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills in fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop mobile engineering teams delivering React Native applications.
Drive day‑to‑day engineering execution across multiple Agile teams with high‑quality design and delivery.
Promote engineering best practices, clean architecture, automation, secure coding, and code quality standards.
Oversee delivery and optimization of mobile apps across Honeywell handhelds, iOS/Android devices, and tablets.
Ensure applications are optimized for performance, offline functionality, barcode scanning, RFID, and device capabilities.
Lead improvements to deployment processes including OTA updates, version control, compliance, and large‑scale fleet management.
Coordinate deployment, testing, configuration, certification, and lifecycle management of vendor‑provided apps.
Guide integration with enterprise systems (scheduling, HR, CRM, POS) and ensure governance compliance.
Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA to plan, groom, and release iterative improvements.
