Job summary

The Advocates - Driggs, Bills & Day is seeking an experienced Enterprise Litigation Attorney to lead discovery and evidence development for the plaintiff‑side ELT. This role partners with the ELT first chair to build cases for resolution or trial across jurisdictions.

You will own discovery plans, supervise depositions, resolve disputes, and ensure a complete trial‑ready record, all while coordinating with affiliate firms. Washington bar is required; other admissions may follow.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Washington State Bar admission in good standing required.
• Willingness to obtain additional admissions (e.g., California, Oregon, Idaho) over time.
• 4–10+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably representing plaintiffs in personal injury or related complex litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage written discovery, depositions, complex discovery disputes, and related motion practice.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, oral advocacy, and witness‑examination skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Discovery Plan and develop the discovery strategy for assigned ELT cases.
• Take and defend party, fact-witness, corporate representative, expert, and other key depositions.
• Draft topics and develop examination strategies; prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.
• Resolve discovery disputes, draft motions to compel, protective orders, and other discovery-related motions.
• Build the trial-ready evidentiary record by analyzing medical, damages, and electronic evidence.
• Lead across affiliate firms and coordinate with local counsel while maintaining ELT standards.
• Identify evidentiary gaps and influence case strategy across jurisdictions.
