Job summary

MatchPoint is seeking a Linux Engineer to finish server preparation and configuration for a large Oracle NMS project. You will focus on Linux OS configuration, server administration, security hardening, AD integration, and preparing servers for handoff to the Oracle application team.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with RHEL and/or Oracle Linux and will collaborate across infrastructure, security, networking, application, and project teams in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
Experience configuring Linux OS, security hardening, and AD integration.
Experience troubleshooting Linux OS and server configuration issues.
Knowledge of enterprise security requirements and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and administer Oracle Linux and/or RHEL servers.
Complete remaining OS configuration and prepare servers for handoff to Oracle applications.
Manage Linux packages, services, and system settings.
Configure disks, filesystems, and mount points.
Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
Integrate servers with Active Directory and troubleshoot auth issues.
Support security hardening and monitoring tools.
Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and completed work.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve issues.
