Job summary
National Life Group seeks a senior compliance leader to influence enterprise-wide strategy and lead teams across locations in regulatory oversight for life and annuity products.
You will partner with the Chief Compliance Officer for Life & Annuity to implement strategic initiatives, advise operations and distribution, and promote a robust compliance culture through training and collaboration.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive work experience in compliance and fixed life/annuity.
- Ability to think and operate at strategic and operational levels.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory matters for diverse audiences.
- Professional interaction with leaders at all levels and external regulators.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned compliance teams across locations to design and implement new processes.
- Build relationships with senior leaders, regulators, and customers to foster compliance culture.
- Provide compliance direction and independent judgement grounded in best practices.
- Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure success and accountability.
- Contribute to strategic planning with short- to mid-term initiatives (1–3 years).
- Advise business units on regulatory developments and risks.
