Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a hands-on Fullstack Java Developer for Jersey City, NJ. You will design, build, and operate resilient cloud-native Java applications with Spring-based microservices and Kafka-driven architectures.

You will collaborate with analysts, DevOps, and infrastructure to deliver secure, high-performance solutions and mature CI/CD practices. The role requires 6+ years of enterprise Java, expertise in Spring, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, and containerization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years designing, developing enterprise Java applications (Java 17+).
• Expertise in Spring ecosystem, Kafka-based event-driven systems, and cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert for one or more applications.
• Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure design meets requirements.
• Partner with Infrastructure to select hosting environments.
• Tune performance to eliminate issues and optimize efficiency.
• Contribute to design, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Create code and unit tests ensuring functional/non-functional requirements.
• Advance CI/CD practices and mature deployment processes.
• Integrate risk controls into daily activities.
