Job summary

The Office of State Examiner, Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service is seeking an IT Applications Developer to advance enterprise applications such as JMS and testing platforms. You will lead design, development, coding, and administration of mission-critical systems for state firefighters and police officers.

Responsibilities include building and integrating databases, using Power Apps, coordinating with vendors, and driving continuous improvement based on stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications

• Three years of information technology experience or six years in any field plus one year IT experience.
• An associate’s degree in information technology plus one year IT experience; or a bachelor’s degree with one year IT experience.
• Master’s degree may satisfy the requirement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, and maintain databases and applications.
• Use Microsoft Power Apps as a primary coding tool.
• Oversee integration of Power Apps, SQL Server, and cloud solutions.
• Leverage coding best practices to optimize performance and automate processes.
• Engage with leadership, staff, stakeholders to gather needs and drive improvements.
• Oversee lifecycle management, security, performance, and UI enhancements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor partnerships to advance capabilities.
