Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks an Enterprise Governance Analyst – Nuclear to support HQ DoD governance for the Air Force nuclear enterprise in the National Capital Region. You will assist the Nuclear Oversight Council, coordinate agendas, prepare briefing materials, and track actions for sustainment and modernization efforts.

The role requires 3–10 years of governance/ HQ support experience, strong writing and organization skills, and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 3–10 years of experience in governance, HQ staff support, program analysis, action officer support, or related field.
  • Experience supporting senior leader meetings, governance forums, or executive decision processes.
  • Ability to accurately document complex discussions, decisions, and actions.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and administrative support to the Nuclear Oversight Council and other governance forums.
  • Coordinate and consolidate proposed agenda topics, briefing materials, and stakeholder inputs; develop senior leader support packages.
  • Coordinate with Headquarters Air Force, Major Commands, program offices, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain current calendar of governance forums and senior leader engagements; manage membership lists.
  • Support planning and execution of senior leader meetings, working groups, and governance forums.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including venue, security, AV, seating, and materials.
  • Provide on-site support during governance forum execution.
  • Capture discussions, decisions, risks, and actions during meetings; prepare minutes and executive summaries.
  • Develop and maintain action-item trackers with status, suspense dates, and closures.
  • Monitor follow-up actions and coordinate with offices to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify overdue actions and decision points requiring senior leader attention.
  • Prepare after-action reports and recommendations for future forums.
  • Handle and maintain classified governance materials per security rules.

Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking an Enterprise Governance Analyst – Nuclear to support Headquarters Department of the Air Force nuclear enterprise governance activities in the National Capital Region.

This position will provide analytical and administrative support to the Nuclear Oversight Council and other designated nuclear-related governance forums. The selected candidate will help prepare senior leaders, manage forum workflows, document strategic decisions, and track actions related to the sustainment and modernization of the Air Force nuclear enterprise.

*Anticipated award/start date September 2026

  • Provide analytical and administrative support to the Nuclear Oversight Council and other designated nuclear enterprise governance forums.
  • Coordinate and consolidate proposed agenda topics, briefing materials, and stakeholder inputs.
    Develop senior leader support packages, including draft agendas, read-ahead materials, briefing slides, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Headquarters Air Force, Major Commands, program offices, and other nuclear enterprise stakeholders.
    Maintain a current and deconflicted calendar of nuclear governance forums and senior leader engagements.
  • Maintain accurate forum membership and point-of-contact lists.
  • Support the planning and execution of senior leader meetings, working groups, and governance forums.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including venue scheduling, security requirements, audiovisual support, seating charts, placards, and material production.
  • Provide on-site support during governance forum execution.
  • Capture discussions, decisions, risks, and assigned actions during meetings.
  • Prepare draft meeting minutes, executive summaries, and records of decision for government review.
  • Develop and maintain action item trackers identifying the responsible organization, current status, suspense date, and closure of assigned tasks.
  • Monitor follow-up actions and coordinate with responsible offices to support timely completion.
  • Identify overdue actions, unresolved issues, and decision points requiring senior leader attention.
  • Prepare after-action reports and recommendations to improve future governance forums.
  • Handle and maintain classified governance materials in accordance with applicable security requirements.
  • Three to ten years of relevant experience in management analysis, executive governance, headquarters staff support, program analysis, action officer support, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting senior leader meetings, governance forums, working groups, or executive-level decision processes.
  • Experience developing agendas, read-ahead materials, briefing packages, meeting minutes, executive summaries, or action item trackers.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, consolidate, review, and quality-check inputs from multiple stakeholder organizations.
  • Ability to accurately document complex discussions, decisions, and assigned actions.
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, suspense dates, and senior leader requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Working knowledge of Department of the Air Force or Department of Defense headquarters staff processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work on site in the National Capital Region with access to the Pentagon and/or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • Experience supporting the Air Force or Department of Defense nuclear enterprise.
    Familiarity with the Nuclear Oversight Council or a comparable general officer, flag officer, or Senior Executive Service governance forum.
  • Knowledge of nuclear enterprise sustainment, modernization, policy, programs, or strategic deterrence.
  • Experience supporting Headquarters Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, USSTRATCOM, or the Department of Energy.
  • Previous experience serving as a headquarters action officer, executive secretariat analyst, program analyst, or governance analyst.
  • Experience coordinating classified senior leader meetings and materials.
  • Experience developing records of decision, staff packages, decision papers, or executive-level briefings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, political science, national security studies, or a related field.
