Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Product Manager to join our team in Mounds View, Minnesota. This role serves as the enterprise product and market expert for colors, coatings, plating, and decorative/protective finishes across the Quanex Hardware Solutions portfolio.

You will own the finishes strategy, harmonize color offerings and naming conventions, and lead commercialization of new finishes in collaboration with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, sales, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, materials science, chemistry, industrial design, marketing, or related field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in B2B product management, finishes, coatings, or hardware/manufacturing environments.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in product development and lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of coating, plating, painting, anodizing, powder coating, or related finishing technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns the finishes strategy and lifecycle for the Quanex Hardware Solutions portfolio.
• Harmonizes color offerings, naming conventions, specifications, and master standards across product lines.
• Translates customer and market needs into differentiated finish solutions; leads commercialization of finishes.
• Partners with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, sales, and marketing to ensure appearance and performance."
• Owns finishes roadmap, portfolio governance, pricing recommendations, lifecycle management, profitability, and customer adoption.
