Job summary

Preql AI is seeking a senior data/finance modeller to own outcomes for enterprise accounts and to build semantic finance models across GL hierarchies and planning. You will map sources across ERPs and planning systems, and work directly with controllers and FP&A teams to translate finance language into data models.

You will shape the playbook for early accounts, provide concrete feedback to engineering, and ensure deployments accelerate value for new customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building with data in production, with deep SQL fluency and Python.
• Direct experience with cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and transformation tooling (dbt).
• Real working knowledge of financial data and close processes.
• Experience working with enterprise customers, including scoping and delivering early feedback.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to draft playbooks.
• Judgment on when to tailor solutions to a single customer or apply broadly.

Responsibilities

• Own the business outcomes for a portfolio of enterprise accounts from kickoff through production and expansion.
• Develop semantic models for finance logic: revenue recognition, cost allocation, GL hierarchies, headcount planning.
• Handle source integration and mapping across ERPs, planning systems, and warehouses.
• Lead working sessions with controllers, FP&A leads, and customer data teams.
• Provide concrete product feedback to shrink customer friction and accelerate value.
