Job summary

Hexmodal seeks an Enterprise Events Associate to design and run a new owned events layer for healthcare facilities. You will craft VIP dinners, peer roundtables, and site visits, managing invitations, budgets, and follow-ups to drive qualified meetings.

You will collaborate with BD, Sales, and Marketing to build a year-long calendar, secure advocates, and deliver events that move opportunities along the pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Two to five years in field marketing, event marketing, or customer marketing.
  • Experience designing invitation-only events for senior leaders.
  • Ability to partner with sales; influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run small, high-trust event formats (VIP dinners, roundtables, site visits).
  • Own event and travel logistics; manage attendee lists and confirmations.
  • Develop a 12-month speaking/abstract calendar and secure host commitments.
  • Build an advocate bench of customers who host, co-present or provide references.

Job description

Hexmodal is building the nervous system for healthcare facilities. Based in Manhattan, we're an IoT and SaaS company that takes the compliance busywork off Healthcare Facilities Managers' plates for good. Our network of 185,000+ Smart Emergency Lights, Room Pressure Monitors, Fridge Monitors, and Fire Extinguisher Monitors runs quietly in the background, saving customers tens of thousands of labor hours a year while keeping 2,800+ facilities safe and compliant across 48 states. We closed our Series A in 2026 and we're just getting started. Come join us!

The Mission

We are looking for our first Enterprise Events Associate to build Hexmodal's owned events layer: the invitation-only program that sits on top of the 70+ trade shows and conferences we already sponsor each year.

Sponsored conferences work, and they are not going away. What they cannot give us is depth or selection. A badge scan and five minutes at the booth is a thin relationship, and we do not get to choose who walks up. The people who decide our largest deals, the corporate directors and VPs who approve system-wide purchases, are largely not on the show floor at all. Neither are our best assets: the facility managers who already advocate for us, the customers who will take a reference call, and the operators who have become genuine champions. Owned events are how we choose the room instead of accepting it.

You will design and run small, high-trust formats: VIP dinners, peer roundtables, customer lunch and learns, prospect reference site visits, and relationship activities such as golf and clay shoots. You decide what the event is, who belongs in the room, why a senior facilities leader would give up an evening, and what happens in the two days after. A Field Marketing Associate owns event and travel logistics and an Enterprise SDR works the invitation lists and confirmations, so your leverage is judgment and design, not booking and chasing.

This is a net-new role and a net-new layer of the enterprise GTM strategy. Nothing here exists yet, which means high authority and a real build: the program you design is the one the company carries into a market of roughly 650 US health systems. You will be measured on qualified meetings, sourced pipeline, and referrals, never on attendance counts.

Role Outcomes

By day 90: the foundation for owned events

  • Written and approved playbooks for the three core formats (VIP dinner, peer roundtable, reference site visit), each specifying target audience, run of show, budget per head, and the follow-up standard.
  • One VIP dinner and one peer roundtable run end to end, start to finish, personally.
  • A named advocate list built with Business Development: ~25 prospects and customers tagged by what each will actually do, host a dinner, co-present a session, take a reference call, or attend as a peer draw.
  • A guest-list process agreed in writing with BD and the account reps, covering how target lists get built and who breaks a tie.
  • A 12-month speaking and abstract calendar covering the state associations and ASHE regional conferences, with submissions filed for every deadline still open.
  • At least two customers formally committed to host or co-present.

By day 180: owned events as pipeline generation

  • Owned events running at 10 per quarter against the sponsorship calendar, not one-offs.
  • The peer roundtable series established as a recurring format once per quarter, with eight to twelve facility managers, directors, and VPs per table.
  • A baseline cost per qualified executive engaged, established and reported per format, with the formats that do not earn their spend flagged for retirement.
  • Attendee details reaching the right rep and SDR within two business days of every event, at 95% compliance.

By end of year one: owned events as growth lever

  • 40 owned events delivered, producing qualified meetings with HFMs as well as director-level-and-above contacts at target health systems.
  • Success is ultimately measured in sourced or influenced enterprise pipeline attributable to owned events, reported in HubSpot.
  • An active advocate bench of customers who host, co-present, or take reference calls, maintained year-round rather than contacted only when an event is nearby.
  • Two to five years in field marketing, event marketing, or customer marketing, in a role where you were accountable for getting specific, named people to show up, not for total attendance.
  • You have run at least one invitation-only event for a hand-picked senior group, end to end, and you can walk us through how you built that list, including who you deliberately left off and why.
  • You can partner with sales reps from a target account list and hold the quality bar, which includes telling a rep that an account does not belong in the room. This is influence without authority, and it is a weekly requirement of the job.
  • You can design a session that senior, practical operators find worth their time. Our audience came up through the trades and has no patience for a sales presentation.
  • You build relationships that run year-round, so that an invitation is not the only time a customer or advocate hears from us.
  • You own a budget and think in unit economics, comfortable managing spend and reporting cost per qualified attendee.
  • You are a self-sufficient builder with sound judgment with senior leaders. You write your own plans and briefs and own your own follow-through, you work through ambiguity to build a program from nothing.
Bonus points (nice to have):
  • Healthcare, medical device, construction, or facilities industry experience
  • Experience with trade associations, conference abstracts, or conference committees
  • Experience running customer advisory boards, executive briefings, or a roundtable series
  • Experience with customer advocacy or reference programs
