Job summary

Bonterra is seeking an Enterprise Development Representative to identify and qualify new business opportunities within the enterprise segment (1,000+ employees). You will spearhead strategic prospecting, lead generation, and initial engagement to build a robust pipeline and support Strategic Account Executives.

You will conduct targeted research, leverage tools like LinkedIn, cold calls and email campaigns, and collaborate with marketing and sales leadership.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in business development, sales development or lead generation
  • Proven track record of generating qualified leads and meeting quotas
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and complex orgs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to articulate complex concepts clearly

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify and target potential enterprise clients that fit Bonterra's ICP.
  • Utilize prospecting tools (LinkedIn Navigator, cold calling, email campaigns) to generate new leads.
  • Develop and execute personalized outreach to engage senior decision-makers and C-suite executives.
  • Qualify leads using PAINT criteria and articulate Bonterra's value proposition.
  • Schedule discovery meetings and product demos for Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of prospecting activities and interactions (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with Enterprise AEs, marketing and sales leadership to optimize strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and Bonterra product updates to communicate offerings effectively.

US Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000; $70,000 - $85,000 OTE

About the Role

The Enterprise Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the enterprise segment, specifically targeting companies with 1,000+ employees. This role involves strategic prospecting, lead generation, and initial engagement to build a robust sales pipeline and support the Strategic Account Executives in closing deals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify and target potential enterprise clients that align with Bonterra's ideal customer profile.
  • Utilize various prospecting tools and techniques (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, cold calling, email campaigns) to generate new leads.
  • Develop and execute personalized outreach strategies to engage senior-level decision-makers and C-suite executives within target organizations.
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria, including problem, authority, , ICP-alignment, need, and timeline (PAINT) Articulate Bonterra's value proposition and solutions effectively to prospects, showcasing how our platform addresses their specific business challenges.
  • Schedule and confirm discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and customer interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Account Executives, marketing, and sales leadership to optimize lead generation efforts and sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and Bonterra's product updates to effectively communicate our offerings.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generation.
Job Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or lead generation, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven track record of successfully generating qualified leads and exceeding quotas in an enterprise sales environment
  • Strong understanding of the enterprise sales cycle and complex organizational structures.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesloft, Outreach).
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to identify key decision-makers and account intelligence.
  • Experience with international markets and global HR/payroll solutions is a plus.

Compensation and benefits for this role apply to full-time employees in the United States and may vary based on local standards, laws and norms. Pay is determined by location, skills, experience, and education, and is one part of Bonterra’s total rewards package, which may also include bonuses, incentives, equity, and a comprehensive benefits program.
