Job summary

Louisiana State University seeks a Desktop Engineering System Administrator 1 to lead and support the Enterprise MDM environment for LSU A&M. The role includes imaging, deploying applications, and managing servers (AD, GPO, certificates) on-premises and in the cloud.

The ideal candidate has SCCM/Intune hands-on experience, Windows Server 2019+ knowledge, and is capable of collaborating across ITS teams to maintain secure, efficient enterprise endpoints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of IT experience; or three years of Windows 11/Server 2019 experience.
• Hands-on experience with SCCM and/or Intune in an enterprise environment.
• Self-driven with ability to present ideas for optimization to management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain custom OS images for deployment via PXE using SCCM.
• Develop and manage application deployments across campus labs and departments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Intune and related MDM technologies for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Collaborate with ITS Security, Network and Server Infrastructure to enforce endpoint standards and security policies.
• Support student VDI environments using Windows 365, managing VDI pools and licensing.
