Description

We are seeking a Database Engineer that will provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis. The role will develop or maintain database structures to fit into the overall architecture of the system, create new workflows to replace existing processes, and provide break/fix requests or updates. The engineer will lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software. The position also supports the development and testing of various Python-based REST end points, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, sending data upon request in JSON format to UI front‑ends.

• Support the development of long- and short-term requirements for database administration and design.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional DBE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases including but not limited to Oracle, Postgres, Mongo, and Redis. Experience with SQL and the associated tools (SQL Developer, etc.)

The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience, is $100,000 - $150,000.
