Adams County Government is seeking a Data Services Manager & Architect to lead the county's enterprise data environment, supervise staff, guide data governance, and drive modernization across databases, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.

You will architect scalable data solutions, develop data models, ensure security, and collaborate with IT and business units to align data initiatives with the county's strategy and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data management, or related field.
• 7+ years in enterprise data with a focus on architecture, administration, management, support and optimization.
• Significant experience architecting, designing, implementing, and administering enterprise database and data warehouse solutions.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise reporting environments.
• Experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Enterprise data architecture, database design, and data modeling.
• Database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data quality practices.
• Cloud data platforms and hybrid architectures.
• SQL and scripting (C#, Python, PowerShell).
• Information security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilités

• Supervise staff, provide technical leadership, review work, set priorities, and manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee architecture, governance, security, administration, integration, and operations of enterprise databases, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data standards and models supporting OLTP, OLAP, reporting, and BI systems.
• Architect scalable data solutions supporting systems, analytics, regulatory compliance, and strategic decisions.
• Maintain data models, data migrations, and data-driven modernization efforts.
• Ensure data availability, integrity, security, and disaster recovery; optimize performance and capacity.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, GIS, and business units to align data initiatives with county strategy.
