Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking an Enterprise Data Platform Lead to drive end-to-end data architecture and large-scale platform implementations. This role blends senior technical oversight in data governance with project governance, budgeting, and cross-functional leadership across Agile and Waterfall.

Based in the Oakland, CA area, this W-2 role offers 90% remote work with occasional onsite meetings, competitive compensation, and benefits including health, dental, and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing large-scale technology and data initiatives.
• 5+ years leading enterprise data platform implementations.
• Proven success delivering complex solutions using Snowflake, Palantir Foundry, and Ataccama.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
• Expertise in ETL/ELT, data integration, orchestration, and data modeling.
• Experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and MDM.
• Experience establishing data lineage, cataloging, and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated program and project management capabilities, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale data architecture projects, specifically managing the integration of modern data platforms.
• Establish and enforce frameworks for Master Data Management (MDM), data quality monitoring, data lineage tracking, and enterprise metadata cataloging.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate technical groups, including data engineers, data scientists, cloud architects, and business analysts.
• Manage project budgets, handle resource allocation, map out technical dependencies, and proactively mitigate delivery risks.
• Orchestrate project timelines and deliverables using a mix of Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and traditional Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Job Summary Our client, a leading Utilities provider, is seeking an Enterprise Data Platform Lead to join their team. This is an enterprise-level Data Program Manager position focused on leading large-scale data platform implementations. The role requires balancing senior technical oversight in data governance and data architecture with traditional project governance, budget management, and cross-functional leadership across Agile and Waterfall frameworks. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale data architecture projects, specifically managing the integration of modern data platforms
• Establish and enforce frameworks for Master Data Management (MDM), data quality monitoring, data lineage tracking, and enterprise metadata cataloging

• Expertise in data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT, data integration, orchestration, and data modeling
• Experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and Master Data Management (MDM)
• Experience establishing data lineage, cataloging, and governance frameworks
• Demonstrated program and project management capabilities, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification
• Experience with enterprise utility, energy, healthcare, financial services, or large-scale regulated industries
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks
• Experience with DevOps and DataOps practices
• Familiarity with AI/ML enablement through enterprise data platforms

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $77.00 and $110.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
