Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems or data engineering.
• 5+ years writing complex SQL and working with data models.
• 2+ years developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data platforms (data lake, warehouse, lakehouse).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop reporting solutions, data extracts, and models.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across platforms (Power BI, Azure).
• Support data visualization and reporting initiatives, including Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Deliver objectives on time and with quality; contribute to data governance and standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Systems Engineer to join our growing organization. This role will support the Director of Data Systems in designing and delivering scalable data solutions that enable business analytics, reporting, and data integration.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern data platforms and a passion for building reliable, high-quality data systems. This role offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for both in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data platforms (data lake, warehouse, and lakehouse environments)
• Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to develop reporting solutions, data extracts, and data models
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure
• Support data visualization and reporting initiatives, including Power BI dashboards and semantic models
• Deliver project objectives on time, within scope, and with a high level of quality
• Contribute to data governance, standards, and best practices

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and working with data models
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with modern data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud-based solutions
