Helen of Troy is seeking an Enterprise Data Lead to champion governance, quality, and definitional standards across the organization. You’ll partner with IT and business domains to align policies, drive data accuracy, and remove operational bottlenecks.

The role requires deep experience with ERP constraints (Oracle EBS) and modern planning tools (e.g., o9 Solutions), plus a proven track record in leadership across complex supply chain data operations. This is a high‑visibility, global role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a data/analytics or related field.
• 10+ years in master data governance and enterprise data operations.
• 5+ years in director‑level cross‑functional leadership in a matrixed org.
• Experience with ERP constraints and modern planning platforms.
• Ability to drive data governance across IT and business domains.

What You Will Be Doing

The Enterprise Data Lead is a newly created, high‑visibility role that serves as the business champion for data governance, data quality, data definitions, and process standards across Helen of Troy. The successful candidate will drive behavioral change, not just technical fixes, ensuring data accurately reflects commercial and operational realities.

Data Governance & Policy Leadership

• Serve as the primary Business Champion for data governance, data quality, data definitions, and data processes in partnership with IT.
• Partner with Domain Owners and IT to align governance models, data architecture changes, and strategic policy updates; act as Domain Owner for Item Data.
• Define and enforce standard enterprise data definitions and business rules within the ERP platform’s technical constraints.
• Define enterprise data access guardrails and change‑control frameworks, partnering with IT for system‑level access management.

Process Optimization & Quality Assurance

• Lead development, optimization, and modernization of core enterprise data processes (e.g., new item and customer setup workflows) to remove operational bottlenecks.
• Partner with IT to develop data quality dashboards, KPIs, and automated exception reporting.
• Identify behavioral root causes of ongoing data issues and establish durable, performance‑linked incentive structures to sustain high data accuracy.

Escalation & Decision Rights Management

• Facilitate decisions that cross the boundary between technical data integrity (IT) and data accuracy (Business Domain Owners).
• Own the data governance processes, standards, access guardrails, and hierarchy maintenance as specified in the enterprise RACI matrix.
• Manage the escalation pathway for cross‑domain data conflicts (e.g., item‑to‑customer discrepancies), routing them effectively to the respective Data Councils.

Key Professional Interactions

• Data Councils – facilitate Data Councils at the item, customer, and vendor levels to review quality KPIs, align remediation priorities, and resolve enterprise blockers.
• Business Domain Owners – partner closely with data domain owners, the IT lead, and designated functional leads to mandate data outcomes.
• Information Technology Team – partner with the Director of Supply Chain Systems who owns system configuration, integrations, and technical control.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, MIS, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive professional experience in master data governance, enterprise process design, or large‑scale supply chain/finance data operations.
• 5+ years of dedicated director‑level or senior cross‑functional leadership in a matrixed corporate environment.
• Deep background in master data governance, enterprise process design, or corporate supply chain and finance data operations.
• Proven success aligning processes, core systems, and governance frameworks across disparate regional or brand practices.
• Experience navigating ERP constraints (Oracle EBS preferred) and modern connected‑planning platforms (e.g., o9 Solutions).
• Success driving complex behavioral changes and establishing accountability metrics without direct line authority.
• Proficiency in building data quality dashboards, automated exception reports, and systemic guardrails.
• Mandated participation in international virtual meetings (early morning or evening) outside standard hours.
• Mandated domestic/international travel (~20%).
• Mandated eligibility to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

• Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset.
