Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The Enterprise Data Consultant (Senior Collibra Lineage Developer) is responsible for designing and implementing data lineage solutions to ensure data traceability throughout its lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with data architects, data analysts, and stakeholders to understand data flows, transformations, and dependencies across data systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement automated Lineage scanners and present results via interactive diagrams.
• Obtain lineage from BI & ETL tools.
• Replace manual Lineage with automated reverse engineering processes.
• Analyze data sources and define scanner scope with the Product team.
• Develop algorithms to extract lineage from sources like APIs and XML files.
• Optimize performance and participate in architectural design.
• Troubleshoot lineage processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create integrated, user-friendly products.
• Code in Python, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot lineage processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in Data Management, Financial Analysis, or similar. Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED with 8 years of relevant experience.

Additional qualifications include:

• At least 5 years of Java and Spring Framework development experience.
• Strong relational database experience.
• Experience with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control tools like Git.
• Knowledge of search technologies such as Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Motivation to work primarily in Python.
• Proficiency with data modeling tools and ETL platforms (e.g., DataStage, Informatica).
• Knowledge of PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Databases, and Integration platforms (SQL, Databricks, GCP, Snowflake).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong SQL and database management skills.
• Agile mindset, excellent problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Leadership qualities for mentoring and driving initiatives.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).
