Job summary

Macomb-Community-College is seeking a Data Analyst to support enterprise information systems, focusing on Colleague data analysis, reporting, and automation. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot dashboards, data extractions, and integrations to meet institutional business needs.

Responsibilities include validating data definitions, supporting BI tooling, and collaborating with offices, developers, and staff to translate requirements into technical specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, analytics or MIS; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience supporting enterprise information systems and databases; data analysis for reporting.
• Experience with reporting, dashboards, workflow automation, low-code tools, and SQL/PostgreSQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes Colleague data structure to locate data elements for interfaces, reports, dashboards, and business processes.
• Translates business requirements into Colleague data definitions and technical specs.
• Validates data definitions and results for accuracy and security.
• Designs and troubleshoots operational reports and analytics for the student information system.
• Supports Ellucian and Microsoft BI tools; helps transition to Ellucian Insights dashboards.
• Develops and maintains Insights dashboards, reports, datasets, and related content.
• Facilitates data extractions, mapping, and resolves data discrepancies.
• Provides training and documentation for analysts, programmers, and end users.
