Job summary

TechRuiter is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to design and modernize enterprise-scale data platforms, focusing on Azure, Databricks, data governance, and AI-ready architectures.

The role requires 8+ years in data architecture or related fields, with hands-on design responsibilities and strong collaboration with senior technology and business leaders. Onsite in Los Angeles, CA or Houston, TX, with a contract-to-hire conversion.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Modernization.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data modeling, integration, metadata management, data lineage, governance, and security.
• Experience designing lakehouse architectures and AI/ML-ready data platforms.
• Knowledge of governance tools such as Purview, Collibra, Informatica Cloud Data Governance or Alation.

• Design and modernize enterprise-scale data platforms with a focus on Azure, Databricks and governance.
• Lead data architecture strategy while remaining hands-on with technical design and implementation.
