Job description

Job Overview

Cybersecurity Services Operations and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Officer. Responsible for developing, designing, and implementing identity management and directory access solutions for JPL systems.

Typical annual salary range: $82,576 – $100,984.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and design of system and process solutions to meet Identity Management and Directory access requirements for business, flight/mission, and institutional network systems.
  • Analyze and create design concepts, architecture diagrams, and functional/technical requirements for single sign‑on solutions, light directory access protocol, Kerberos authentication, and other authentication methods.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to document requirements, present system concepts, demos, and provide implementation support.
  • Support analysis of system enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades for identity management applications, including interfaces to business, HR, institutional, and flight/mission systems.
  • Document and track development changes and fixes using configuration management systems; support system problem identification and resolution, including testing authentication solutions prior to production rollout.
  • Perform functional validation testing and deployment of identity management and directory access solutions.
  • Act as a key interface with customers to facilitate negotiation and capture requirements for complex enterprise directory services, including single or reduced sign‑on capabilities.
  • Configure and manage JPL’s Active Directory infrastructure, design and implement Group Policies, integrate NASA PIV smart card authentication, and develop PowerShell/VB scripts for AD data management.
  • Manage domain rename/migration, Windows DNS/WINS services, Windows Certificate Service, and implement Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) with IIS for Web Single Sign On (SSO) to SAML‑compliant applications.
  • Provide level3 technical support for Windows directory related issues, Samba integration, and Oracle Access Manager WebGate configuration.
  • Document implementation processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field with at least 1year of experience, or master’s degree with no minimum experience requirement.
  • Experience and knowledge in Cybersecurity Operations, Identity Management Systems, Network and Systems Architecture, UNIX and Windows systems administration.
  • Understanding of advanced principles for securing networked computer systems and log aggregation technologies such as Splunk, Syslog, Windows Event Manager.
  • Experience architecting scalable systems and applications.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory design, functional requirements, and implementation.
  • Experience capturing business process requirements and designing integrated system architecture.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC methods, authentication for relational databases, data flow diagrams, and requirements documentation.
  • Significant understanding of HR reporting and analytics design.
  • Knowledge of laboratory and NASA policies and government regulations is desired.
  • Experience working with Oracle developers on authentication and security enhancements.
