Job summary

HDR is seeking a Cloud Architect to partner with the IT Architecture Director and fellow architects to define, govern, and evolve HDR’s cloud architecture. You will design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned to HDR’s long-term business strategy and guide teams through modernization while shaping governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field; 7+ years in technology systems design and implementation.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional architectural initiatives and strategic cloud programs.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, serverless) with emphasis on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cloud architectures focusing on Azure-first solutions (identity, networking, security, governance, FinOps, automation, platform services).
• Define reference architectures, standards and guardrails; maintain cloud roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Provide governance, assess solutions for security, cost optimization, and adherence to HDR principles.
