Job summary

UDF-MyScoop Branding is seeking an experienced BI Analytics Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. You will build semantic models, KPI definitions, and dashboards that empower business users with trusted insights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions, implement row- and object-level security, and contribute to data pipelines and governance across the Fabric platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of Power BI development experience.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Fabric experience or equivalent Azure Data Platform experience.
• Experience with multi-location retail data (POS, sales, inventory, pricing, promotions, loyalty) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into reporting solutions.
• Create intuitive, visually compelling dashboards that drive decision making.
• Develop and maintain KPI definitions, calculations, and business metrics.
• Optimize report performance, usability, and adoption.
• Implement RLS and OLS, and data governance standards.
• Support self-service analytics through certified datasets and reusable semantic models.
• Conduct report testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
• Develop star schemas, fact tables, dimensions, hierarchies, measures, and calculation groups.
• Create complex DAX measures and reusable business logic.
• Standardize and govern enterprise metrics for consistency across reports.
• Promote dataset reuse and reduce duplication of business logic.
• Support deployment pipelines and lifecycle management of analytics solutions.
