Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced IT Enterprise Architect or Systems Engineer to join our team in the Bethesda, Maryland area. You will document and shape our client's IT enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with the client's vision of driving interoperability across organizations.

Responsibilities include developing the baseline, future state, and transition plan artifacts, working with cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• 8+ years with BS/BA; 6+ with MS/MA; 3+ with PhD; four years of additional experience can be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Systems Engineer; strong knowledge of architecture frameworks.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced, results oriented Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Architect or Systems Engineer to join our team in the Bethesda, Maryland area. You will play a critical role in documenting and shaping our client's IT enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with the client's vision of driving interoperability across organizations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop an IT enterprise architecture that provides client stakeholders awareness of critical capabilities, dependencies, and mission critical impacts and risks. This includes developing the:
  • Enterprise Architecture Baseline: Discover and capture the state of the client's IT enterprise as it exists across multiple organizations throughout the enterprise.
  • Enterprise Architecture Future State: Work in alignment with the client's vision to capture the state of the client's IT enterprise.
  • Enterprise Architecture Transition Plan: Create the guidance and architecture artifacts to incrementally transition the client's enterprise architecture from the as-is state to the future state.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, content consumers, developers, engineers, and business analysts.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. However, four years of additional experience can be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF).
• Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Rational Rhapsody, Cameo, Genesys, etc.).

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
