Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience across software engineering, solution architecture, cloud architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture and target-state architecture principles.
• Hands-on architectural experience with Azure technologies such as Blob Storage, event-driven architecture, APIs, and microservices.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Azure Architect to define and drive the target-state architecture for a strategic Azure-based intelligent automation platform.

The platform will support intelligent document processing, data extraction and validation, workflow orchestration, human-in-the-loop processing, case management, and downstream enterprise integrations.

The ideal candidate will combine strong Enterprise Architecture expertise with deep hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Azure, event‑driven architecture, API‑led integration, cloud security, data architecture, and scalable enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target‑state architecture, reference architecture, technology standards, and architectural guardrails for an enterprise Azure platform.
• Architect scalable, cloud‑native solutions covering document ingestion, intelligent extraction, validation, workflow orchestration, human review, case management, and downstream transaction processing.
• Design event‑driven and asynchronous architectures using Azure services such as Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns for APIs, messaging, workflows, data persistence, security, identity, observability, and environment management.
• Architect integrations using Azure API Management (APIM) and API‑first/microservices‑based patterns.
• Provide architecture direction across Azure App Services, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Key Vault, Entra ID, and Azure Monitor.
• Establish security architecture incorporating Zero Trust, RBAC, private connectivity, encryption, segregation of duties, auditability, and data protection.
• Define non‑functional requirements for scalability, performance, resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, and production readiness.
• Partner with product, engineering, security, operations, risk, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reusable platform capabilities.
• Conduct architecture and solution‑design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, decision records, technology roadmaps, and executive‑level architecture presentations.
• Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams throughout implementation and platform evolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience across software engineering, solution architecture, cloud architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• Strong experience designing enterprise‑scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture and target‑state architecture principles.
• Hands‑on architectural experience with Azure technologies such as:
• Blob Storage
• Strong experience with event‑driven architecture, distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, APIs, and microservices.
• Experience designing workflow orchestration and human‑in‑the‑loop processing solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud identity, networking, security, governance, observability, resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and enterprise environment strategies.
• Ability to establish architecture standards and influence engineering and senior business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and architecture‑documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience architecting Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) or AI‑enabled automation platforms.
• Experience with Azure AI Document Intelligence or similar OCR/document extraction technologies.
• Experience designing document extraction, classification, validation, confidence‑based review, and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows.
• Exposure to Azure OpenAI, GenAI, or AI‑enabled enterprise platforms.
• Experience architecting solutions within regulated enterprise environments such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Healthcare.
• Understanding of enterprise data architecture, lineage, canonical data models, and systems‑of‑record integration.
• Azure and/or Enterprise Architecture certifications are a plus.
