Contract through December 31 2026 with potential extensions
Position Overview
We are seeking a senior Enterprise Architect with deep Adobe Experience Cloud expertise to lead enterprise-scale digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping complex organizations determine how customer data, content, analytics, personalization, journey orchestration, digital experiences, and supporting enterprise systems should work together.
The Enterprise Architect will assess the client’s current environment, define the future-state architecture, establish architectural principles and governance, and create an actionable transformation roadmap. This person must be able to connect business objectives to architectural decisions and provide clear direction to solution architects, product teams, data teams, engineering teams, and delivery leadership.
This is not a single-product Adobe architect or hands-on development position. The successful candidate will bring broad Adobe Experience Cloud expertise and the executive presence required to lead strategic conversations across the client’s enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior architecture leader and trusted advisor for enterprise Adobe transformation initiatives.
- Lead discovery sessions with executive, business, marketing, product, data, security, and technology stakeholders.
- Assess the client’s current digital experience, martech, content, analytics, data, integration, and cloud environment.
- Document current-state, transition-state, and future-state enterprise architectures.
- Translate business goals and customer experience priorities into scalable technology strategies.
- Define end-to-end architectures across Adobe Experience Cloud and the client’s broader enterprise ecosystem.
- Determine how content, customer data, identity, analytics, personalization, decisioning, and activation should flow across systems.
- Design integration approaches between Adobe platforms and CRM, commerce, cloud, data warehouse, identity, consent, content, and activation platforms.
- Establish architectural principles, platform guardrails, integration patterns, governance standards, and decision frameworks.
- Develop phased modernization roadmaps, implementation sequencing, dependency maps, and investment recommendations.
- Evaluate platform capabilities and recommend where Adobe, third-party, or custom solutions should be used.
- Identify architecture risks, technical debt, capability gaps, data challenges, and organizational readiness concerns.
- Lead architecture reviews and drive alignment on major platform, integration, and design decisions.
- Guide solution architects, engineering leaders, data teams, product teams, and delivery teams throughout implementation.
- Ensure delivery decisions remain aligned with the approved enterprise architecture and intended business outcomes.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to executive and nontechnical audiences.
- Create and present architecture diagrams, roadmaps, decision documents, recommendations, and executive presentations.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex architectural and cross-platform decisions.
- Support solution development, proposals, estimates, and strategic account-growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, digital transformation, martech, or enterprise technology consulting.
- 7+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud or comparable enterprise digital experience platforms.
- Current or previously earned Adobe professional certification is required.
- Broad architectural knowledge across multiple Adobe Experience Cloud products, such as:
- Adobe Experience Platform
- Adobe Experience Manager
- Adobe Journey Optimizer
- Adobe Target
- Adobe Workfront
- Experience leading enterprise-scale Adobe Experience Cloud implementations or modernization programs.
- Demonstrated experience developing current-state, future-state, and transition-state architectures.
- Experience creating multiyear platform modernization or digital transformation roadmaps.
- Experience designing integrations between Adobe platforms and enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, CRM systems, identity solutions, commerce platforms, and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of customer data, identity, content supply chains, analytics, personalization, journey orchestration, and digital experience delivery.
- Experience establishing architecture governance, integration patterns, platform standards, and technical decision frameworks.
- Experience advising senior directors, vice presidents, CIOs, CTOs, CMOs, or comparable executive stakeholders.
- Ability to independently lead complex client engagements involving multiple platforms, teams, and business units.
- Strong executive presence with excellent facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate between business, strategy, product, data, and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple Adobe certifications or an Adobe certification aligned with architecture, Adobe Experience Platform, AEM, Analytics, CJA, Journey Optimizer, or another Experience Cloud product.
- Experience working across four or more Adobe Experience Cloud products.
- Previous consulting, systems integration, or digital agency experience.
- Experience leading Adobe transformation programs for large global enterprises.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of privacy, consent, security, data governance, and regulated enterprise environments.
What Success Looks Like
- Client leadership has a clear and achievable future-state architecture.
- Business objectives are translated into specific technology decisions and implementation phases.
- Adobe products operate as an integrated ecosystem rather than disconnected tools.
- Delivery teams have clear architectural direction, standards, and decision guardrails.
- Technical risks, dependencies, and organizational gaps are identified early.
- The client views this individual as a trusted strategic and technical advisor.
