Job summary

Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a government contractor hiring an Enterprise Architect to support an enterprise program in a federal environment. The role provides high-level architectural guidance, develops enterprise artifacts, and advises on technology purchases, data storage, and application development.

Standards for database architectures will be set, and feasibility assessments will be conducted for future projects.

Qualifications

Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring an Enterprise Architect to support an enterprise-level program within a federal environment.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff. Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines. Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.). Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices to provide technical guidance to managers and technical staff.
• Ability to develop, document, and maintain architectural designs, models, and deliverables that support enterprise and operational business requirements.
• Skill in evaluating technology solutions and advising management on purchasing decisions related to data processing, storage, access, and application development.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems, including SQL, Oracle, and Sybase, and the ability to establish database architecture standards and guidelines.
• Ability to assess the technical feasibility, resource requirements, risks, and potential benefits of proposed technology initiatives and future projects.
• Skill in communicating complex technical concepts, architectural recommendations, and feasibility assessments to management and technical stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Minimum Training, Education, and Certifications

• Ten (10) years relevant experience
• Relevant DLA experience on DLA Systems and Logistics transaction types.
• Enterprise Java experience.
• Experience in DLA MILS and EDI internal data flows and detailed understanding of service orchestration of these data flows.
• DOD 8570 baseline certification - IAM Level III

• Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking (including stairs) throughout offices and between buildings. May require use of public transportation, personal or Government vehicle to drive to local and/or remote office locations.
