We specialize in advanced analytics, data-driven decision-making, AI-powered insights, and innovative technology solutions for state education and government agencies nationwide.
About the Role:
We’re expanding our team with a strategic Enterprise Architect to define the technical direction of a mission-critical Azure-based platform, shaping a multi-year roadmap that aligns with enterprise goals. In this role, you’ll lead architecture for scalable microservices, data integration, and cloud-native solutions - collaborating with executives and engineers to turn complex challenges into future-ready systems.
What You'll Do:
- Define and champion the overarching technical vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for an Azure-based solution, ensuring alignment with enterprise business objectives.
- Architect highly scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise solutions on Azure, incorporating microservices, data ingestion, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
- Govern technology choices, design patterns, and standards across the solution landscape, ensuring consistency and interoperability.
- Lead the design of complex integrations between new and legacy systems, with a focus on efficient data flow and transformation.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate requirements into robust architectural designs and strategic technical decisions.
- Oversee and guide the architectural aspects of data governance, security, and compliance across the platform.
- Provide expert consultation on emerging technologies and their potential impact on the enterprise architecture and business capabilities.
- Facilitate and lead architectural review boards and technical discussions, ensuring clear communication and alignment across diverse teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive experience (e.g., 10+ years) in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a similar strategic technical leadership role.
- Deep and broad expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, complex solutions on the Azure cloud platform.
- Proven ability to architect for microservice-based ecosystems, including expertise in service decomposition, API design, and distributed system patterns.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, including data ingestion strategies (ETL/ELT), data modeling, data lakes/lakehouses, and asynchronous messaging systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (specifically Azure Kubernetes Service - AKS) and containerization concepts from an architectural oversight perspective.
- Exceptional, executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and enforcing architectural best practices, standards, and governance.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and an understanding of how architectural runways support agile development.
- Knowledge of .NET, Python, and SQL database technologies within an enterprise context is highly desirable.
Why Double Line?

- A home where your voice matters and you can affect real change
- Direct connection to the Executive team, where you can help drive the future of the company
- An employer who cares about you, makes sure you're engaged with exciting work, and offers robust benefits, 401k with employer match, and a great culture
