Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle
Step into a highly visible role where you’ll shape the future of technology at NFM. As our Enterprise Architecture and a trusted advisor to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you’ll connect business strategy with a clear, sustainable technology vision across applications, integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, security, and emerging technology. You’ll define target-state direction, establish practical standards and guardrails, and help ensure NFM’s technology investments work together as a cohesive enterprise ecosystem. Partnering with General Managers, business leaders, and solution architects across Technology Solutions and Technology Operations, you’ll align roadmaps, guide modernization, simplify complexity, and resolve decisions that span the organization. This is an opportunity to make an enterprise-wide impact through influence, facilitation, sound judgment, and clear communication—without responsibility for day-to-day delivery organizations. This position requires the candidate to reside in NE, IA, KS, MO, or TX. Final candidates will be required to come on-site prior to receiving an offer or on their first day of employment.
Job Duties: A Day in the Life
- Lead: Direct the continuous evolution of NFM's enterprise architecture strategy, target-state direction, principles, and multi-year architecture roadmap in alignment with business strategy and technology priorities
- Collaborate: Work with the CIO, General Managers, senior business leaders, and technology leaders to translate business strategy, strategic initiatives, and business capabilities into technology direction and architectural priorities
- Govern: Guide enterprise architecture principles, reference architectures, technology standards, patterns, guardrails, and decision practices that promote consistency while allowing appropriate flexibility within delivery teams
- Facilitate: Lead architecture reviews and decision forums for significant technology initiatives, ensuring cross-domain impacts, enterprise standards, security, resiliency, data, integration, supportability, cost, and lifecycle considerations are addressed early
- Coordinate: Provide functional architecture leadership across solution architects assigned to the Technology Solutions and Technology Operations divisions, creating consistency in methods, expectations, documentation, and enterprise alignment
- Align: Collaborate with both General Managers and their solution architects to resolve cross-domain architecture questions, dependencies, ownership gaps, and design decisions that span organizational boundaries
- Modernize: Partner with the CIO and General Managers to identify and prioritize enterprise transformation opportunities, including legacy retirement, platform simplification, technical-debt reduction, integration improvement, cloud evolution, and technology lifecycle needs
Your work will directly impact our ability to help people create a lifestyle they love, for the people they love—because that’s what we love.
