Job summary

SiriusPoint is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our Group IT team in New York. You will design integrations, drive implementation of systems, and optimize workflows with AI while reporting to the Chief Architect & Delivery Officer.

You will evaluate and architect across business applications, ensuring compliance with EA standards, data governance and security controls. Strong communication and collaboration with vendors and stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, system analysis or related field.
• 5+ years of experience across at least two IT solution development disciplines including architecture, cloud, and integration.
• Experience with AWS technologies, serverless and containerized workloads; Azure or other clouds is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud governance across multi-cloud/multi-region environments.
• Deep expertise in SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, APIs, DevOps and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current understanding of emerging technologies and assess relevance to business goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams and vendors to implement architectural solutions.
• Continuously analyze the IT environment to identify improvements.

Join Our Team

You will be an Enterprise Architect within our Group IT team. You will play a crucial role in selecting, designing integrations and facilitating the implementation of these systems as well as workflow efficiencies leveraging AI. You will report to the Chief Architect & Delivery Officer.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.
• Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards.
• Maintain an understanding of emerging technologies, trends, and techniques and assess their relevance to the organization’s business objectives.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, data governance expectations, audit requirements, and relevant financial controls.
• Document, assess, and improve data flows between systems, data platforms, reporting tools, and downstream applications to ensure accuracy, consistency, transparency, and control.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, machine learning, and automation capabilities across workflows, reporting, reconciliations, data management, and operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, enhance data quality, and accelerate business insights.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to define and implement architectural solutions.
• Continuously analyze the IT environment to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.

Your skills and abilities should include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development.
• Demonstrated experience with a broad set of AWS technologies, across the areas of compute, data, networking and security, with a particular emphasis on serverless and containerized workloads. Similar experience with Azure and other Cloud service providers is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cloud platform management & governance at scale, particularly across a multi-cloud, multi-account, multi-region ecosystem.
• Deep and up-to-date expertise in SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, DevOps and micro services.
• Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
• Exposure and understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), presentation skills, soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
• Knowledge/Experience with Guidewire or similar insurance systems would be advantageous.
