Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for an Enterprise Architect in Cambridge, MA, with telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the United States.

You will guide customers through cloud network transformations, architect multi-cloud IaaS solutions, and drive product innovation and strategic roadmapping. The role collaborates across Cloud Compute, Security and Delivery while building cloud-native thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus five (5) years of experience in the Job offered or closely related technical role.
• Alternatively, employer will accept no degree and eight (8) years of experience in the Job offered or closely related technical role.
• Must have: Three (3) years of experience in the following: Designing and implementing secure solutions across Azure, AWS, and multi-cloud environments; Managing cloud transformation initiatives; Establishing backup, archival, and disaster recovery strategies; Conducting network and security architecture reviews; DevOps & automation; CI/CD; GitHub; Terraform; Zero Trust Security; and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Guide Akamai customers through strategic and technical aspects of cloud network transformation and implementation.
• Architect complex IaaS solutions involving cloud-based applications, architecture and strategy.
• Drive customer success and continuous consumption of Linode network product as extension of the account teams.
• Decompose application components and determine leverage of open source technologies to achieve outcomes.
• Lead solution and product innovation initiatives and influence product roadmap.
• Facilitate builds of service-oriented architecture, web services, and APIs.
• Build technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing to support business growth.
• Partner with enablement groups in Cloud Compute, Security and Delivery to solve workload challenges.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $177902-$215400 /year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
