Job summary

Fisher Investments is seeking an Enterprise Architect for Investment Solutions to shape enterprise architecture across Front, Middle and Back Office. You will partner with internal tech teams, vendors, and partners to build multi-year roadmaps and align solutions with strategic priorities.

The role requires guiding complex changes, mentoring staff, and translating business needs into viable technology strategies within a global wealth management context.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' combination of solution/technical/business architecture roles.
• 7+ years leading solution/technical architecture teams.
• 5+ years of architecture experience at a large wealth/asset management firm.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems or related technical field, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of CRD in a wealth management context with UMA portfolios.
• Experience with application, data, integration, security, and platform architectures.
• Experience with CRD & Sylvan is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Azure data and integration services is preferred.
• Highly developed ability to investigate and analyze issues to resolution.
• Experience guiding multiple complex enterprise changes simultaneously, and measuring adoption.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing employees.
• Expertise translating enterprise needs into viable solutions; strong decision-making, negotiation and influence.

The Opportunity:

The Enterprise Architect (Investment Solutions) plans portions of the enterprise architecture environment, develops architectural principles and standards, and promotes alignment of technology to business needs. You will have a particular focus on the architecture and design of solutions to support Front, Middle and Back Office groups as part of Investment Solutions in running a large wealth management firm with a global presence.

As a technical expert, you will partner with our internal technology teams, our partners, third-party vendors, and implementation partners. Your experience will help us build our technology transformation program and create multi-year roadmaps to align enterprise-wide solutions to Fisher's priorities. You will also survey the technology landscape and guide the evolution of the current environment to support future capabilities and requirements. You will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture as a member of our team of experienced Enterprise Architects.

The Day-to-Day:

• Define and oversee the adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across portions of applications, infrastructure, and information security
• Define the architecture and lead the selection of important platforms (both cloud and on-premises), products, and vendors to be utilized for programs across the enterprise
• Ensure the architecture of applications and systems (especially cloud-based data and integration architecture, with CRD as a foundation, for Front and Middle Office functions & with SS&C GWP & Sylvan as a foundation, for Back office functions) is consistent with enterprise needs, and ascertain how application solutions are used to meet those enterprise needs
• Lead technology and business teams to evaluate current technology solutions and plan, design, and coordinate multi-year roadmaps for all applications and support activities
• Survey the technology landscape to identify systems and solutions that align with firm strategy while collaborating with executive leadership to recommend, implement and maintain appropriate technology solutions
• Function as SME to Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security, 3rd party vendors, and implementation partners
• Facilitate optimization of current state architecture during the transformation to future state architecture

Your Qualifications:

• 10+ year's combination of solution / technical / business architecture roles
• 7+ years of experience leading solution / technical architecture team
• 5+ years of architecture experience at a large wealth management or asset management firm
• Bachelor's degree in information systems or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of CRD in a wealth management context dealing with UMA portfolio structures
• Experience with application, data, integration, security, and technology platform architectures and implementation patterns
• Experience with CRD & Sylvan strongly preferred
• Experience with Azure data and integration services preferred
• Highly advanced ability to investigate, analyze issues to take to resolution
• Experience implementing multiple complex enterprise level changes simultaneously, including how to guide and measure adoption of best practices
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing employees
• Expertise in translating enterprise needs and problems into viable and accepted solutions
• Expertise in decision-making, conflict resolution, and negotiation/influence skills
