Job summary

Canfield Scientific, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - Enterprise Applications & Integrations to design, develop, integrate, and maintain enterprise business applications.

The role focuses on modernizing existing apps, automating processes, and building reusable components within the .NET ecosystem. The candidate will develop integrations between enterprise systems (Dynamics 365, ERP) and external APIs, design robust data exchange workflows, and implement thorough testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating multiple enterprise systems
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative software development workflows; Linux basics

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs
• Build internal business applications, services, and automation utilities
• Troubleshoot existing applications and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Develop integrations between enterprise applications (e.g., Dynamics 365, ERP, external APIs)
• Design data exchange processes using REST, queues, and scheduled services
• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring; support auth mechanisms
• Translate requirements into working software and develop tests (unit/integration)
• Provide progress updates and document technical decisions
