Job summary

Canfield Scientific, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for Enterprise Applications & Integrations to design, build, test, and maintain enterprise software solutions.

You will drive modernizations, automation, and integration across systems (including Microsoft Dynamics 365) with REST APIs and background services. The role demands strong C#/.NET skills, REST API design, and experience integrating multiple enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
• Git and collaborative software development workflows; problem-solving and documentation.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and basic system administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs.
• Build internal business applications, services, and automation utilities; develop reusable components and frameworks.
• Troubleshoot existing applications and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Develop integrations between enterprise applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP platforms, and external APIs.
• Design reliable data exchange with REST APIs, message queues, and scheduled services.
• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring; support authentication/authorization for enterprise apps.
• Translate requirements into working software; develop unit and integration tests.
• Provide progress updates and document technical decisions while investigating issues.
