Job summary

Saginaw Valley State University is seeking an Enterprise Applications Specialist to provide technical support for the university’s enterprise systems, including administration, security, maintenance, and end‑user support. The role reports to the Senior Enterprise Applications Specialist and contributes to data integrity and system improvements.

Responsibilities include configuring Workday security, supporting Release testing, and maintaining Dynamic Forms and Hyland Perceptive Content workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administration, maintenance, and support for the University’s enterprise applications.
  • Support with configuring and maintaining Workday security, including security groups, roles, domains, business process security policies, and user access.
  • Assist with testing and implementing enterprise application releases, updates, and new features.
  • Develop, maintain, and support Dynamic Forms, including workflow automation and integration with document imaging systems.
  • Configure, administer, and support Hyland Perceptive Content, including system settings, security, workflows, and scanner equipment.
  • Maintain security permissions for enterprise applications and assist with security audits, access reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Provide operational support for scheduled production processes.
  • Maintain data integrity through duplicate record cleanup, username changes, and other system maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and user resources.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with enterprise application technologies and best practices.
  • Provide backup support for Enterprise Applications team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Enterprise Applications Specialist provides technical support for the University’s enterprise applications, including system administration, security, maintenance, and end-user support for critical business systems. Working under the direction of the Senior Enterprise Applications Specialist, the position helps maintain system security, data integrity, and application functionality while supporting day-to-day operations and continuous system improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administration, maintenance, and support for the University’s enterprise applications.
  • Support with configuring and maintaining Workday security, including security groups, roles, domains, business process security policies, and user access.
  • Assist with testing and implementing enterprise application releases, updates, and new features.
  • Develop, maintain, and support Dynamic Forms, including workflow automation and integration with document imaging systems.
  • Configure, administer, and support Hyland Perceptive Content, including system settings, security, workflows, and scanner equipment.
  • Maintain security permissions for enterprise applications and assist with security audits, access reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Provide operational support for scheduled production processes.
  • Maintain data integrity through duplicate record cleanup, username changes, and other system maintenance activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise application concepts, system administration, or comparable cloud-based business systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments or other operating systems and microcomputers.
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, or comparable business systems.
  • Experience configuring or supporting application security, user access, or system administration.
  • Experience with electronic forms, document management, workflow automation, or comparable business applications.
  • Experience working in higher education, public sector, or another complex organizational environment.

  • All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
