Position Summary:
The Enterprise Application and Data Services Specialist will play a key role in helping the University of Dubuque to optimize dataquality and workflow processes, assist with system integrations, and improve reporting and analytical support. This role willcollaborate closely with and support individuals and departmentsacross campus to strengthen our use of technical systems andimprove efficiencies related to technology, data andprocesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and correct procedures for monitoringaccuracy and quality of data
- Work with stakeholders to educate, assist and update data andprocesses
- Write and maintain stored procedures and functions to extract,transform and report on data
- Provide recommendations and technical expertise regarding theuse of all University systems and the data within said systems
- Design, develop and generate reports to meet the needs of usersacross campus in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
- Provide data-driven insights by collecting, analyzing andreporting on trends to support strategic decision making
- Create forms and workflows to assist in improving processes anddata flow between and within departments across campus
- Automate processes to allow faculty and staff to spend moretime interacting with students versus performing arduous tasks andunneeded paperwork
- Be a partner that others across campus can rely upon to providehigh-quality assistance and insight regarding needs related tosystems, data and processes
- Understand proper integration and documentation of the use ofall software tools used to manage the University of Dubuque'sdata
- Keep abreast of upgrades to all systems and how these will helpdeliver the best data and most efficient process improvement to endusers
- Research and have knowledge of new technologies as well asinvestigate unused modules of current systems as potential ways to improve processes
- Document all procedures so they can be understood and supportedby other team members as well as end users
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University'smission

Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree Required; Computer emphasis preferred orrelated business experience
- Experience using report writers, preferably SQL ServerReporting Services and Power BI
- Strong understanding and experience of relational databaseapplications
- Experience with TSQL in developing SQL scripts, procedures andfunctions
