Job summary

Kutak Rock is seeking an Enterprise Application Administrator to join our National IT Department. You will provide upper-tier support to attorneys and staff, while reviewing, analyzing, and installing new or existing applications to support the firm’s mission.

The role emphasizes database work (MS SQL Server), API connectivity, and cross-team collaboration. Hybrid work with manager approval, salary range $85,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience managing applications in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Document Management Systems, NetDocuments preferred.
• Experience with AI systems and prompts development.
• MS SQL Server development and management, SQL scripting, triggers, DTS, maintenance plans.
• Experience with Windows-based client/server applications and integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Experience providing upper-tier troubleshooting across support layers.

Job description

The firm is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our National I.T. Department as an Enterprise Application Administrator. This position reports to the Director of Client Services with responsibilities including providing upper-tier technical support to the firm’s Attorneys, Help Desk and other staff as well as the review, analysis, development, modification and installation of new or existing applications to support the firm’s mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer (Install / upgrade / configure / implement) assigned software applications
• Position includes shared responsibilities with other team members and IT groups
• Portal improvements, System integration, Workflows, Litigation Support and more
• Analyze and determine improvements to existing applications and possible new application needs
• Design, create, modify and administer databases (MS SQL Server) and associated applications
• Assist in the creation of custom-coded solutions to improve processes and services (API and database connectivity between firm systems, internal tools, AI Tools, etc.)
• Provide instruction and/or documentation of assigned applications to support and training teams
• Provide additional support to departments and offices as needed
• Assist with special projects
• Travel and overtime work are required when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate should possess and/or demonstrate:

• Three years of experience managing applications in an enterprise environment
• Experience with Document Management Systems, NetDocuments experience preferred
• Experience with AI systems and concepts including developing prompts
• Experience with MS SQL Server database development and management including SQL scripting, triggers, DTS, maintenance plans, etc.
• Experience with SQL 2025 a plus
• Experience installing, integrating, upgrading and providing technical support for varied client/server application software in a Windows environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills along with the ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Experience providing upper tier troubleshooting and support to other layers of a support team

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced technical training preferred but not required

Position Information

Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $85,000-$125,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid with Manager approval
