Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an Enterprise Cybersecurity AI Architect to lead hands-on design and deployment of secure AI platforms and guardrails across the enterprise. You will partner with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, data, and application teams to safeguard AI models, data pipelines, and agent workflows in multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

The role emphasizes threat modeling, secure deployment, and ongoing risk assessments to protect critical utility infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, models, training/inference pipelines, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience deploying enterprise solutions on Azure Databricks or comparable cloud AI platforms.
• Familiarity with securing LLMs, generative models, and agentic workflows.
• Ability to work across architecture, engineering, and business teams to deliver enterprise security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls in AI development and deployment workflows.
• Design, implement, and maintain guardrails for AI agents across departments.
• Architect secure AI platforms, models, and applications including LLMs and agent workflows.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for AI systems; map findings to controls (NIST-aligned).
• Build secure deployment environments for AI agents including access control, secrets management, and logging.
• Defend AI models and data against exfiltration, information disclosure, and model poisoning.
