Job summary

C3 AI in Redwood City, CA, is seeking Data Scientist interns for our Summer 2027 program. You will work with data scientists, AI engineers, and subject matter experts to define analytics capabilities and build AI solutions on the C3 Agentic AI Platform.

Qualified candidates have strong foundations in ML, AI, and math, experience with Python or R, and a drive to deliver scalable AI applications for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent field.
• Applied Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI experience (regression and classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning).
• Familiarity with foundation models and their application to enterprise use cases.
• Experience with prototyping languages such as Python and R.
• Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics).
• Experience with scalable ML (distributed computing, cloud-native, streaming).
• Ability to drive a project and work both independently and in a team.
• Smart, motivated, can-do attitude, and seeks to make a difference.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of AI and agentic AI systems into the next generation of C3 AI products.
• Design and deploy Machine Learning algorithms for industrial applications such as fraud detection and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborate with data and subject matter experts from C3 AI and its customer teams to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use new data elements.
